Layered over the preserved seagrass base, fluid acrylics blend with thicker, textured acrylics to create dimensional surface variations. This mixed media technique mimics the natural textures found in living eelgrass meadows, while the invented color palette captures the play of light filtering through coastal Maine waters observed while snorkeling.
