As a part of our “The Air We Breathe” exhibition at Beacon Gallery, I am thrilled to be collaborating with Shelly B. Philips for the “Catch and Release” improv on December 11, 2:30pm.
Ms. Philips will create opportunities for interactive performance and improvisational “Catch and Release” activities exploring the wonders of seagrass.
Shelly B. Phillips is an emerging artist who works across various mediums. Using photography, painting, fiber work, printmaking, sculpture, performance art, and more, the artist suits up, sometimes literally, in the necessary method to match the calling of each artwork. She is also the founder of the Phillips Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to elevating the role of the artist and art as a healing modality to support patients, clients, and providers in the journey of digesting our connected lives.
