Perspectives from the sea is a collection of abstract oil paintings that re-imagines life underwater. They are visual investigations on how seagrass captures carbon( Carbon Capture, Blue Carbon), or is a feeding ground for a thousand animals (Mollusks at low Tide, Manatee). The underwater world allows for different interpretations of seagrass from abstracting land formation in “Underwater Terrain” to thinking about the over population of green crabs in “160K”. I am fascinated with the theme of rich biodiversity of ocean life beneath the surface of the sea.
